Meet Your Vocal Coach
Jenny Kim-Godfrey (Music Director) is a Korean-American Music Director and an award-winning Opera Singer. Jenny has performed as a soloist with Asolo Repertory Theatre, The Florida Orchestra, Opera Tampa, St. Petersburg Opera, Jacksonville Symphony, Gravenhurst Opera (Canada), CLA (Italy), Sarasota Pops Orchestra, and Florida Lyric Opera to name a few. Jenny has previously taught and given masterclasses at Universities in both USA and South Korea such as: The University of Tampa, Meredith College, Ave Maria University, Sehan University, Bucheon University and also served as the Music Department Chair at Manatee School For the Arts.
Jenny also frequently performs in the Soprano-Guitar duo Corda Voce with her husband Dr. Jonathan Godfrey. (www.CordaVoce.com)
Jenny is currently a Resident Music Director with Norwegian Cruise Line, and joined the faculty at University of Albany (SUNY) as an Adjunct Guest Music Director Spring 2021. Jenny is a proud member of EMC, and trained classically at Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Program and the Tanglewood Institute. Jenny holds her Master and Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, and minor in Choral Conducting with an outside field in Arts Administration from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
